NANCY A. MAKOFKA, P.W.S.
Ms. Makofka has more than 25 years of experience conducting ecological studies for development, restoration and transportation-related projects for private clients and various government agencies in 32 states. Within New Jersey, she has completed projects throughout the State’s 21 counties. Ms. Makofka’s skills include:
- Conducting wetland delineations and evaluations;
- Preparing regulatory agency permit applications;
- Evaluating environmental constraints as related to the development potential of properties, including during due diligence periods;
- Preparing and managing comprehensive Environmental Impact Statements and other reports;
- Conducting field investigations for plant, wildlife and endangered species surveys;
- Conducting fisheries and aquatic invertebrate inventories;
- Performing tree measurement and identification surveys;
- Providing expert testimony and
- Conducting effective communications with clients, other interested parties and local, state, and federal agencies.
These skills have been utilized to assist in the development of residential communities, docks, shore protection structures (bulkheads & revetments), in-ground pools, habitat restoration projects, bridges, Federal prisons, post offices, courthouses, commercial and industrial buildings and roadways. She has also been involved in obtaining permits for conservation projects and renewable energy projects, such as photovoltaic systems and tidal turbines.
